Continuing Professional Development
The Career Teachers training department aims to maintain and raise the standards of all teachers and support staff who work with us, by offering regular opportunities for continuing professional development.
A combination of in-house training sessions and one-to-one support in our on-site training room, guidance documents and 'over the phone' chats, allows us to support staff on an individual basis.
Orientation for Overseas Trained Teachers
We run an extensive orientation programme for all overseas-trained teachers. This well-established programme includes an overview of the national curriculum, guidance on Key Stages and assessment, behaviour management, common school and classroom practices and the expectations of a teacher in the UK.

Skills Network
Career Teachers have partnered with the Skills Network to bring you free online courses.
The Skills Network offers a variety of courses! We have listed the most relevant to Education on the first few pages, but please feel free to enrol on any of the courses offered.

The courses are delivered via distance learning methods - either fully online or using paper-based learning materials. You will be supported throughout your learning journey by a dedicated Learner Support Advisor and subject specialist Tutor. On successful completion of your course, you will have achieved a level 2 qualification.

We have a suite of accredited, online training courses available for our candidates through EduCare. They are a high-quality, online training provider who work closely with schools, local authorities and other agencies to deliver a range of training and ensure that the content is updated regularly to reflect current advice and practices.
