Support For Overseas TAs

Career Teachers have been supporting teachers to relocate to live and work in England for the past 14 years. We understand that small details make the difference and are pleased to offer you the following to support your journey to teach in England!

A range of work options – your ambitions are important to us and we’re here to help you achieve them. We will be able to advice you on work options that are available for either short-term or long-term support work.

TA to teach programme - If you have obtained UK Qualified Teacher Status, but have not yet taught in a UK classroom, our team will support you with a programme of training and paid support work to build up your experience to enable you to teach.

Free Professional development – We are incredibly proud of our training team who provide regular training sessions and one-to-one support for our teachers and support staff. Everyone who is new to teaching in England is given orientation training so you’ll know exactly what to expect on your first day in school.

Social Events – join us and lots of other overseas teachers and support staff throughout the year for a few after work drinks and a chance for a good old chat!

Referral scheme – Do you know someone else who might be interested in teaching in England? Once you are registered with Career Teachers you can claim a £250 Amazon voucher for EVERY qualified teacher you refer to us, once they have worked for us for 10 days. This is regardless of whether you have worked with us or not!

Relocation Support

All compliance paperwork – As you would expect, there is a fair amount of paperwork that needs to be done before you are able to work in a school. We do this all day every day, so we’ll guide you through the process quickly and simply.

Bank account – We can get you sorted with a bank account too. With options for travel friendly online banking or traditional high street banks, we will ensure you are all set up and ready to receive your first week’s pay.

Where to live in London Once you have an idea of where you want to be, the relocation team can show you the best way to find somewhere to live whether it’s just for the first few weeks or a more long-term place to call home. Get excited about moving over with our guide to the different areas in London and the surrounding counties.
