BREAKFAST & AFTERSCHOOL CLUB MANAGER

Tooting

Salary: £22,500 per annum.

Bonus Structure: 5% of salary on completion of first academic year.

10% of salary on completion of second academic year.

Hours:

Monday - Wednesday:

35 hours per week.

7:30 - 11:30 + 15:00 - 18:00

Thursday - Friday: 10:00 - 18:00

Contract: Permanent. Term-time only, plus an additional three weeks during holidays.

Career Teachers is working a with primary school looking for a Breakfast and afterschool club Manager to manage a breakfast and afterschool club based in the London Borough of Wandsworth.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Oversee the safety, well-being and inclusion of all children at the club.

  • Be welcoming, communicative and professional at all times with children, parents and carers, teachers and other stakeholders.

  • To lead and inspire both children and colleagues at the club creating a high energy and happy atmosphere in which all engage with the programme of activities provided.

  • Induct, supervise, and manage your colleagues, ensuring that the most efficient practices are upheld.

  • Lead in the completion of weekly administrative tasks; staff rota, payroll, timetabling, food orders and equipment inventories.
  • Ensure that there is a range of exciting activities throughout the week and term to guarantee the structure and engagement of both staff and children.

  • Oversee and manage the preparation of food at the club, including the completion of food orders, ensuring safe storage and handling of food, as well as completing required food safety checks, maintenance and cleaning of facilities.

  • Be the first point of contact for parents and carers of children attending the clubs, aiding them with concerns, queries and bookings.

  • Be responsible for the processing and chasing of payments in regard to clubs.

  • Possess a deep understanding of relevant guidance and national standards for Out of School Care, food safety and handling, as well as the policies and procedures

Ideal candidates will:

  • At least 2 years' experience in childcare (preferably with Level 2 or 3 childcare

qualifications).

  • Confident in leading people and maintaining positive working relationships with

colleagues.

  • Management experience previously working in an education setting.

  • Ability to work under pressure and be professional at all times.

  • Enthusiastic, organised, reliable and trustworthy.

  • Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to complete a new on
