SEND Teacher- ASC (Autism) Specialist

A primary school for children aged 4-11 with Autism (ASC) and associated difficulties is hoping to recruit an experienced SEND teacher in this field for their school for September. The needs of the students include Autism (ASC) as a primary diagnosis but can also suffer from additional sensory and regulatory conditions.

The school is well resourced, supportive and keen to recruit two teachers with a long-term investment in the school culture and ethos. An understanding of TEACCH, PECS and Makaton is required, and those with exposure to or understanding of the ABA method are looked at favourably.

Given this recruitment will happen off the back of a period of school closures as a result of Covid-19, the school is keen to find members of staff who are flexible, amenable and come with a proactive attitude and team ethic.

Applications are encouraged from those who would like to progress within their teaching careers as the school has a keen focus on CPD within their teams and growing their own future leaders.

Interviews will take place virtually and applicants will be assessed as they apply.
