Career Teachers are recruiting for a pupil referral unit (PRU) located in Croydon. This school is a secondary school with children ranging from the ages of 11-16 years old.
Person Specification - Youth Mentor - Croydon, London
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Preferably worked in an inclusion unit or pupil referral unit before, but you must have a minimum of 6 months' experience working with children with challenging behaviours.
Successful Applicants will be subject to references and an up to date DBS with update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
About the Role - Youth Mentor - Croydon, London
As a youth mentor you will be supporting pupils in Key Stage 3 or 4 with work assignments. You will be working with children on a 1:1 or group basis. Some children may have other special needs and may require more assistance than others, previous experience with ADHD, Autism (ASD) and Mild Learning difficulties) would be a bonus. You will be required to work full time Monday through Friday from 8:15 to 3:45.
