Here at Career Teachers, we are recruiting for brilliant secondary schools across London for temporary and daily supply work as a Teaching Assistant. Our schools provide quality education for children within the school's local area, providing the foundations for pupils' development towards GCSEs and A Levels. TAs are vital to the overall learning and development of pupils at the school, tailoring their approach to optimise learning opportunities.

Our schools support boys and girls aged 11 to 18 years old. They provide expert learning opportunities to children in the local area, producing high calibre results at GCSE. Our schools work effectively with all members of their community to provide a safe and nurturing environment, de-escalating challenging behaviour and promoting positive relationships.

About the Role - Graduate Secondary TA

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, cultivating a love of learning. These roles are on a daily supply and short term basis, with further opportunities to lead onto a longer term position, with competitive salary per day, starting from £65, reflecting your own work experience and workload.

Person Specification - Graduate Secondary TA

The successful teaching assistant (TA) will:

- Be a recent university graduate or current postgraduate student;

- Hold strong literacy and numeracy skills;

- Be a specialist in English, Mathematics or a Science subject;

- Be enthusiastic, dedicated and engaging;

- Be able to provide effective support to all children under direction of the subject teachers, including those with special educational needs;

- Be approachable to all pupils and act as a behavioural role model.

We require references and an up to date DBS with update service. If you do not have one you will need to apply for a brand new DBS certificate.
