Career Teachers are recruiting for a number of high achieving Secondary schools in Greenwich for both regular daily supply and long term Cover Supervisor roles, starting as soon as possible. These schools provide quality education for children aged 11 - 18 years old, supporting progress and development towards GCSE and A Level examinations.

Our schools support both staff and pupils in this important part of the children's education, providing appropriate resources, engaging learning opportunities and extra-curricular programmes. Pupils undertake GCSEs in Year 11, with the majority moving on to A Levels and Further Education courses. The schools work effectively with all members of its community, parents, staff and pupils, to provide a safe environment, de-escalating challenging behaviour and promoting positive relationships. They have been rated 'Good' and 'Outstanding' in their most recent Ofsted inspections.
Person Specification - Cover Supervisor - South East London, Greenwich
The successful Cover Supervisor will be proactive, engaging and inspiring; have previous experience working or volunteering with secondary aged children; hold a degree qualification, ideally in a subject related to English, Mathematics or Science; an interest in supporting educational and personal progress; be interested in undertaking teacher training in the future; maintain positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies; encourage pupils to reach their full potential.
Successful Applicants will be subject to references and an up to date DBS with update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Career Teachers.
About the Role - Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor you will be covering classes in Key stage 3 and 4. You will be provided information to give to the students, making sure they understand the work set by the teacher, supporting them to complete this during the lesson. You will manage behaviour throughout the lessons, in line with school policies, making sure that everyone is focussed on the task at hand. These are great opportunities for those looking to move into teaching in the future. Positions start at £70 per day.
