
The Headteacher of an outstanding primary school in Marple Bridge, Stockport, wish to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis, as soon as possible.
This 1:1 Teaching Assistant role is being recruited for to specifically support the needs of one child who is on the Autism pathway. More information on the pupil's needs will be provided at the next stage of the recruitment process.

Working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant is a highly rewarding role and you will be a major contributor to the life of this young person. The school are seeking someone who -
- has experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
- has experience supporting those with special educational needs
- is resilient, adaptable to change, and is a strong communicator
- knows how to de-escalate and divert challenging behaviour (Team-Teach training will be provided)
- can commit to a permanent role - this young person needs continuity and to build trust
