We are proud to work with a school in Leicestershire which caters for Primary and Secondary aged students with a range of SEN needs including Profound, Severe and Moderate Learning Difficulties. The school has an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating and pride themselves on helping students achieve. The school are seeking a bank of Teaching Assistants who can provide day to day and longer term support across the school - part time and full time work available to fit around you!
Your responsibilities in this role;
You will provide a high level of support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated behavioural needs.
You will support the class teacher in providing a safe and engaging learning environment support students with their academic and social development, manage behaviour in line with the schools policy, support during break and meal times.
What you will need to succeed For this role;
You will have experience of working in a school, nursery, residential care or youth work setting.
You will have experience of working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
You will also be a good team player who can work as part of a team to best meet the needs of the children.
