Career Teachers are currently looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant for a school in the Sheffield City Centre. This school supports Primary & Secondary students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The staff are welcoming, with a supportive Senior Leadership Team, and have a strong understanding of supporting staff wellbeing. We have both part-time and full time positions and require an immediate start.

For this role of a SEMH Teaching Assistant:

• Experience of working or interacting with SEMH children is desirable
• Have previous employed or voluntary work experience within a school setting is desirable
• Be supportive, patient, nurturing, empathetic and friendly
• Display clear and strong communication skills
• Strong behaviour management, some children can be violent at times
• Be keen to support both the students' emotional and academic progress
• Have an Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update Service
• Provide 2 references from within the past 3 years
• Pay between £75.92 to £100 per day dependant on experience
• Finish each day at 2.15pm
• Casual Dress Code
