Rates are competitive (from £135 per day) and work can be offered 5 days per week from full time to part time hours. The primary schools you would be working with are good schools, with good resources and facilities. You will be working in a range of schools, where good organisation skills and behaviour management will be needed, as will knowledge of EAL. Supply work is great for teachers with busy schedules who still want to teach, but have other commitments that mean full time work isn't a possibility. Supply work is also good for those who want to test the waters in different schools and see where best fits them. Many schools use the same supply teachers once they have built a relationship with you so work is always available. The demands for supply teachers are always high and ranges from nursery aged children to Year 6.
