A lovely Junior school in North West London (Barnet Borough) requires a Music Teacher to start in September 2018.

Music teacher - Key stage 2 - Junior school - London

About the role:

- The role is part-time, Monday to Thursday, although if you would prefer full-time, the school can include a Friday, which will be spent as a PPA teacher, not necessarily teaching Music

- The school require a qualified teacher to co-ordinate and lead the Music provision throughout the school

- You will be responsible for planning and delivering whole class music lessons, when class teachers have PPA time

- The school need a accomplished piano player, and you will be required to play piano and lead singing assembly

- The role will also involve the organisation of the school choir and assisting teachers with class assemblies when required. There will be some planning and fine tuning(!) required for the music curriculum.

- It would be very helpful if you are able to also play other instruments.

- During the second part of the Summer term, you will be heavily focused on the music for the Year 6 end of year production.

About you:

- You MUST have a proven musical background and be a confident pianist

- The school will only consider qualified teachers with QTS or equivalent

- You could be a qualified primary teacher or a secondary Music specialist

- You must be a good communicator
