Here at Career Teachers, we are recruiting for a brilliant primary school in South London for a long term Teaching Assistant role, working within Key Stage 1 and 2. Our school provides quality education for children within the school's local area, providing the foundations for pupils' development further up the school. TAs are vital to the overall learning and development of pupils at the school, tailoring their approach to optimise learning opportunities.

About the Role - Primary TA

As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils in KS1 and KS2, cultivating a love of learning. This role is on a long term supply basis, with competitive salary per day, starting from £65, reflecting your own work experience and workload, and with the possibility of being made permanent in the future.

Person Specification - Primary TA

The successful teaching assistant (TA) will:

- Hold strong literacy and numeracy skills;

- Be a specialist in working with young children;

- Be enthusiastic, dedicated and engaging;

- Be able to provide effective support to all children under direction of the teachers, including those with special educational needs;

- Be approachable to all pupils and act as a behavioural role model.

We require references and an up to date DBS with update service. If you do not have one you will need to apply for a brand new DBS certificate.
