Food Technology Teacher - SEN specialist - Hillingdon - London

The ideal candidate;

  • Will be an experienced DT / Food technology Teacher who is an SEN specialist or experienced with visual impairment experience working with pupils who are nonverbal and have complex needs. You will be able to lease with Teaching Assistants prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons that keep pupils enjoying school and progressing in their academics.

This is a well-established special school;

  • That works with pupils are parents across Hillingdon. The school offers a rich and stimulating curriculum, which is individually tailored reflecting each child's ability. There is a range of sensory and therapeutic interventions that are used to aid pupil's individual needs and assist with their impairment.

The senior leadership team work very closely with teachers and parents to maintain good relationships between home and school life. Pupil achievement is celebrated and positive rewards are used to promote and encourage good behaviour and learning.

This is a long term, full time position starting as soon as possible for the right candidate.
