A special school in the London Borough of Hillingdon is recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a small class of 8 children aged 10 - 16 with mild to moderate learning difficulties, including Autism.

The ideal candidate will have experience working 1:1 and in small groups with children who have autism, and be trained/ have experience using Makaton and PECS. You will work closely with the class teacher to ensure the children make progress in reading and writing, speaking and listening and other areas of the school curriculum.

Ideally, you will be available to start immediately, however, if you have a notice period please do still apply as the school will consider waiting for strong applicants.

The school require support on a ad hoc basis you will require a minimum of 4 days a week.

They require consistency and regular support this role will be ideal for someone who wants part time ad hoc work.

The school have a requirement to support children with autism and SLD, studying ASDAN, GCSE and life skills
