A busy vibrant Post 16 College in the heart of Leicester City are currently looking for a Pastoral Lead Advisor. This is a friendly, supportive and well-run College. Sharing, collaboration, innovation, professional development and high outcomes are hallmarks of their approach.Your new roleThe role will largely involve you liaising with others in order to track and monitor punctuality, attendance, achievement, and the behaviour of students within your appointed year group to ensure that successes are recognised, and any underachievement is quickly addressed.You will be responsible for monitoring the academic progress of the year group in order to secure and sustain effective learning, with particular reference to the proportion of students and groups of students making expected or above progress.The role will also entail using all available assessment data to inform an analysis of individual student progress and collective progress across each tutor group and the year group as a whole.
You will also be responsible for keeping in contact with parents of students in the year group, and in particular with those needing more careful monitoring relating to attendance and punctuality, behaviour, bullying or medical needs - ensuring positive family support and involvement.What you'll need to succeed· You will be able to demonstrable experience of working within a Pastoral capacity.· You will be a self-motivated individual with a flexible approach.· You will possess good analytical and communication skills as well as have recent reference able experience.· You must also hold experience in an education setting.What you'll get in return in return?
