We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA to work with a GOOD Primary School in Mitcham.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Start date: 6th January 2020
- Ongoing on a contract basis until at least July 2020
- Full time, 8am to 4pm with 1 hour lunch break
- London Borough of Merton - Mitcham area
The role will see you covering classes in the absence of the Class Teacher. This will mainly be within KS1 & 2, but you will be required to be flexible and cover in EYFS on occasion. Whilst covering classes, you will always have the support of a TA.
This is a varied role where you will sometimes be spending a full day covering a class, and on other days you may be acting as a TA and supporting the Class Teacher. There may also be occasions where you are asked to work with a particular child on a 1:1 basis.
You will have prior experience of covering classes, and be confident in managing behaviour. Ideally, you will have previously worked across a range of year groups and be comfortable at all levels.
You will be an excellent all-rounder and be happy to be flexible and get involved with all aspects of school life.

It is not essential for you to hold a HLTA qualification, but you are required to have experience of covering classes.
