Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, who is passionate about supporting children who have speech and language needs?

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, for a position with a mainstream Primary School in Plumstead.

As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will work as an important part of the SEN team, to support children to develop and access the curriculum. You will provide support to children on a 1:1 basis and also run sessions for small groups of children.

The school have a great team of Teaching Assistants, who work closely together, under the guidance of the SENCO, to provide excellent support and care to those children with SEN.

The role would suit a Speech and Language Graduate, or an existing Teaching Assistant with experience in this area.

This mainstream Primary School pride themselves on being inclusive and offering excellent facilities and support for children with additional needs.


  • An experienced Teaching Assistant or a Speech and Language Graduate
  • Experience of supporting children with speech and language needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available and able to commit from Monday to Friday on an ongoing basis
