Career Teachers are working with a mainstream Primary School in the London Borough of Greenwich, who are looking to appoint an experienced KS2 Teacher to join their team from January.

They are looking for someone who either already has the SENCO qualification, or would be keen to gain this qualification, with support from the school.

You will take responsibility for the Year 5 class, working as part of the KS2 team to ensure the children have the best opportunity to access learning. In addition, within the near future, you will take responsibility as a SENCO, reducing your teaching timetable to accommodate this.

You will be highly passionate about SEN, and be keen to make a position contribution to the wider school within this area. You will have excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with key individuals throughout the school, in addition to parents and external agencies as appropriate.

If you do not currently hold the SENC qualification, you will be fully supported to complete this. Including time allowance for your studies.

  • An experienced KS2 Teacher, with strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Passionate about and dedicated to supporting children who have SEN
  • A wealth of knowledge relating to various types of SEN within a mainstream setting
  • An aspiring SENCO
  • Friendly, personable and an excellent team player

The school are offering a permanent contract, starting in January 2022.
