Career Teachers are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a mainstream Primary School in Greenwich.

The role will be based within their unit, who specialise in supporting children who have an Autism diagnosis. The children split their time between their mainstream class, and receiving additional support as part of the unit. The small group of children come from all year groups within the school, so flexibility is necessary within this role.

You will be supporting children with a variety of activities, from English and Maths, to speech and language, behaviour, life skills, social skills, and learning Independence.

This mainstream Primary School is based within the London Borough of Greenwich, and has excellent transport links and staff parking available on site. They are an extremely welcome, and friendly team, and it is a popular school among our supply staff.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Experience of working with children who have Autism
  • Patience and a calm manner
  • A great sense of humour
  • Commitment to the role and the children

The role is available for an ASAP start, and will continue, full time, on an ongoing basis. This role is likely to be needed until the end of the academic year, in July 2022, but there is also scope for the right person to then remain with the school permanently.

  • Salary negotiable - £70-90 per day, dependent on experience
