Vacancy available for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team at a mainstream Primary School.
The Primary School is based within the London Borough of Greenwich, close to the Plumstead area. They are looking for 3 or 4 talented and passionate Teaching Assistants to join them, on a long term basis. This will likely be for the full academic year from September 2022 until July 2023.
A position with this school will suit you if you are flexible and willing to work with children of various ages and abilities, as this will be a varied role. You will be an important part of the Teaching Assistant team, and be assigned to work within either Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key stage 2. Your role will see you completing a range of duties, including providing general classroom support, working with small groups and with children on a 1:1 basis.
You will be highly valued, and offered a range of learning and development opportunities, to help you grow within your profession.
In order to be successful for this opportunity, you will have:
- Experience of working with children, ideally within a school setting (could also be from summer camps, performing arts groups etc.)
- A passion for working with young people, and be genuinely interested in helping them reach their potential
- A good work ethic and be prepare to get stuck in to school life
- A valid Enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply for one
Start date: September 2022
Salary for this position will be between £70 and £90 per day, dependant on your experience.
