Career Teachers are looking for a talented and passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN within a Mainstream setting.
A Primary School in Greenwich have an opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join their highly successful Early Years team, to support a child who is newly joining their Reception class from September.
You will work closely with the Early Years team and the parents to ensure a smooth transition in to school life, creating a fun, safe and calm learning environment for the child.
We are looking for someone with experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ideally within KS2. The role will suit someone with experience in supporting children who have SEND on a 1:1 basis.
You will also have a great sense of humour and fun, and be able to make learning enjoyable.
It is very important that you are able to be committed and reliable within this role. The child you are working with will rely on you to be a consistent source of support for them.
ABOUT YOU:* An experienced Teaching Assistant, who has previously worked in either an SEN or Mainstream Primary setting* Experience of working within Early Years * Knowledge and experience of working with children who have a range of SEN * Calm, patient and kind in your approach * Excellent communication skills to effectively build relationships with the child, Teacher, parents and SENCO * Available to commit on a full time basis, until at least the end of December 2021, but ideally for the full academic year
The Primary School is based within the Plumstead area of Greenwich, with excellent transport links and parking available. They are a hardworking and friendly team, who will quickly make you feel welcome.
Interviews:The school would like to arrange a trial period for the 1st week back in September. You will get a chance to work in the school, meet the team and the child. If this goes well, the role will be yours! The trial period will be paid.
Salary for this role will range from £70 to £95 per day, depending on your experience.
