Career Teachers are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant, for a position working with a mainstream Primary School in the London Borough of Greenwich.
There are 2 HLTA positions available at this school:
Salary for this position will be between £100 and £150 per day, depending on your experience.
Within this role, you will be covering classes in the absence of the Class Teacher. You will take responsibility for the class, alongside experienced Teaching Assistants. In addition, you will provide intervention sessions for children within your assigned year group, with a particular focus on English and Maths.
You will need to have good behaviour management skills, and be confident in managing a whole class.
You will liaise closely with the Class Teachers, who will provide the planning for the lessons. You will need to foster a close working relationship with them to ensure that learning continues in their absence, and any issues/concerns are reported back accordingly.
The role will be very varied, and you will work with a wide range of children and staff.
