Secondary Teaching Assistant

Are you a sports coach or teaching assistant who has experience supporting young people with mental health and behaviour difficulties?

Career Teachers are currently recruiting for a teaching Support Assistant or sports coach to work in a Secondary mainstream school in Runcorn. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting key stage 3 and key stage 4 students on a one-to-one basis, with core curriculum subjects and some outdoor activities.

Starts asap, offering daily and block bookings, long-term and short-term roles - full-time or part-time work available. Hours are 8:30am-3:30pm.

To be considered for this position the ideal applicant will have the following;

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Hold a sports coaching certificate in either football, rugby, or other sports.
• Be able to set boundaries, be patient, supportive and a good listener?
• The ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
• Able to support children up to GCSE level in core subjects
