Learning Support Assistant

Career Teachers are recruiting for learning support assistants to assist students with additional learning needs in a college. The roles are part-time and full-time working between 8:30-4:00pm. All students require support on a one-to-one basis, who might have autism, ADHD, mental health, anxiety, or physical disabilities. Subject classes could be in IT, hairdressing, mechanics, or hospitality; however, you don't need to have subject knowledge, students will require support with note taking, communication skills and assisting to and from classes.

Starts asap - temp-perm options available.

To be considered for this position the ideal applicant will have.

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care
• English and Maths GCSE level C or above
• Experience in either Downs Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, attachment or anxiety disorders, physical disabilities, speech and language barriers, Mental health.
• Have a Child and Adult DBS or willing to apply for a new one at registration.
