Teaching Assistant

I am working with an excellent alternative provision based in the Wirral who pride themselves in their inclusivity. This alternative provision caters for students between the ages of 11-16 years who present with significant complex behaviours linked to childhood trauma, loss of homes or relationships, bullying or multiple exclusions.

Our client is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to provide full support to the students and transform their attitude towards learning and make the most out of their academic journeys. The behaviour presented here is challenging, therefore resilience and adaptability is crucial.

Starts asap Hours of work Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

To be considered for this position the ideal applicant will have the following.

• Experience working with children.
• Hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or similar.
• Be a caring, compassionate, and patient person.
• Have knowledge of de-escalation techniques
• Be able to commit to a full-time position.
• Have a current enhanced portable DBS or willing to apply for a new one
