Experienced 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers have a vacancy for an experienced Teaching Assistant at a well-respected school in the L33 area of Liverpool.

This fantastic school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child in year 5 on a 121 full-time basis.

The role consists of working under the direction of the class teacher, keeping the child on task, and promoting positive peer friendships and social skills, and sometimes taking the child out to work on individual and group interventions.

You will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, professional attitude, and reporting back to the teacher on the child's progress will be a must.

The vacancy is to start ASAP and is a long-term position, offering some CPD training opportunities. The working hours are 8.30am-3.30pm and a very competitive daily rate is on offer.

To be considered for this role you will be:

• Understanding to the child's needs
• Experienced in supporting children (preferably on a 1:1 basis)
• Able to commit full time, long term for continuity for the pupil
• Have good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Able to work closely with the teacher to further development
• Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one in process
