Career Teachers are working with a mainstream primary school in the L21 area of Liverpool who are looking to recruit an experienced full time SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in and out the classroom.
The position will require you to support a child in Y4 working under the direction of the class teacher. The pupil has a diagnosis of ASD and LD so a firm understanding of the child's needs is essential.
To be successful in this role you must:
- Have a calm, positive approach
- Have previous one-to-one experience (all ages considered)
- Be firm and consistent
- Report daily to the class teacher and sometimes parent
- Have encouraging behaviour techniques
- Be able to commit to full time, Monday to Friday
The start date is September 1st and hours of the role are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm and will run until the end of the academic year. The daily rate of £70-£80 per day is competitive and dependent on experience.
In this role, you will be expected to provide support, both in and out of class, and the position is one to one support for a child with additional and multiple learning needs so the ability to build strong, positive relationships is essential.
