Career Teachers have a vacancy for a L2 Teaching Assistant at a well-respected special school in the L9 area of Liverpool. They have a supportive team and engaging curriculum to ensure the children are given excellent learning opportunities.

The school caters for children from aged 3-11 years and some movement between key stages may be necessary. Pupils have needs such as ASD, Mental Health & communication and attachment disorders so previous experience supporting these would be advantageous.

In this role, you will be expected to provide support, both in and out of class. You will be a role model, mentor and daily support to the children you will be working with. The school are seeking a person with a friendly, can-do attitude and you must have a calm, patient nature.

You will need to be adaptable and, be able to develop good relationships with the children that you are working with.

You will understand working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities and have a real desire to make a difference to their lives, education, and development.

The pupils of this wonderful school need support staff who are nurturing, and who are understanding of their needs. They work to a bespoke curriculum that brings out the children's strengths and celebrates the successes.

The role is full time, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday and will run for the whole academic year. The start date for this role will be 5th September 2022.
