A nurturing and community-driven secondary special educational needs (SEND) school in Hillingdon is currently seeking a specialist Science teacher for an immediate start.
This rare subject-specific role is offered ideally on a temp-to-perm basis, and would ideally suit an experienced Science teacher with some SEND or inclusion experience who is passionate about inclusion, and is looking for a new role, or to make a career move into the SEND sector.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive staff team, you will teach classes across the secondary age groups to children with a range of moderate and complex needs including autism. All candidates must have UK QTS, and be able to teach Science at a primary level as a specialist subject. The ideal candidate will also have the following attributes:
- A genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs;
- The ability to differentiate teaching approaches according to need and ability;
- Some experience and/or understanding of working with students with moderate additional needs and autism;
- Great enthusiasm and a lively sense of humour!
