A National Autistic Society accredited special primary school in West London is seeking a SEN primary teacher to start in September 2020.
Located in Hayes within easy reach of the Central line, this large and friendly provision is well-respected within the sector, and supports students up to the age of 11 who have autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and moderate complex learning difficulties. Their school ethos is 'be nice, work hard, be happy', and they take a person-centred approach that focuses not only on achievement but on improving the quality of life of every student.
They are currently seeking a primary teacher to lead a class of 6-9 pupils, all of which have 1:1 support. The teacher will also be expected to lead on the planning, assessment and resourcing of at least one curriculum area.
With a range of excellent resources and expert therapeutic support available, the ideal teacher will be a passionate autism specialist who is dedicated to delivering exceptional teaching and learning. They will be expected to create outstanding lessons for individuals and small groups of children, ensuring a person centred approach that is functional and relevant to the curriculum. They will also ensure that resources and activities to support curriculum entitlement and participation are well maintained, organised and replaced as required.
Offering a huge range of staff benefits as well as ongoing CPD training, the school is a fantastic place to enter upon a new phase in your SEN teaching career. To find out more, please apply with your CV today.
