Career Teachers are currently working with a lovely Nursery school in the L9 area of Liverpool. This very well-run and resourced Nursery is looking to add an Early Years Teaching Assistant with experience supporting special educational needs (SEND) to their existing team.
The school has requested an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their busy, friendly team on a long-term basis. Working Monday to Friday, 8.30-3.30pm.
You will also be required to work with some children with special educational needs, supporting in the classroom, in small groups or one to one. This will all be carried out under the guidance of the class teacher.
The role involves supporting children aged 2-4 years old and flexibility to move between EYFS classes is a must. The children require an easy-going and friendly approach to support during lessons, and some break times.
Creating and using daily visual timetables, liaising with outside agencies such as speech and language and working with Early Healthcare Plans (EHCs) to ensure the individual needs of the children are met is essential to the children's development.
This exciting role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm, although some flexibility with start and finish times may be needed at times.
