Here at Career Teachers, we are looking for an experienced behaviour support worker to work across a number of schools in the Leeds area, supporting children with additional needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children on a 1:1 basis and experience of managing behaviour. You will be caring and nurturing and able to build positive, trusting relationships with the children that you work with.

You will support the class teacher by following plans that are created to support a child within their educational environment. You will have sound knowledge of the barriers that some children may face and you will be equipped with the knowledge on how best to support them to ensure they are able to access their learning.

In order to be successful for this post you must:

  • Have experience of working with children on a 1:1 basis.
  • Have exceptional behavioural management skills.
  • Be compassionate and understanding.
  • Be proactive and organised.
  • Be calm and composed.
  • Be passionate and show desire to support children to be the best that they can be.
