An 'Outstanding' mixed comprehensive in the heart of London is looking for a fully qualified and resourceful Design and Technology Teacher to join their school. All parties are held to high expectations. The shared goal is to see all pupils become highly skilled learners, achieving excellent standards and leading fulfilling and exciting lives. Pupils come from a mixture of backgrounds and ability levels, therefore inclusion is highly important to this school. The Role - Design and Technology (DT) Teacher
You will be teaching Key Stage 3 and 4, and will need to be able to be confident in teaching GCSE to a high standard. GCSE results at this school have been consistently high across many years and this school needs a Design and Technology teacher who will continue this excellence.The Design and Technology department is well resourced and well run, the team work together to continually raise standards. Enterprise and Business is embedded in the school's ethos and teaching right across the curriculum, and this has been found to bring passion and excellence to teaching and learning. This position will be starting in September on a 1 year fixed term contract.
After this, the school will consider you (subject to meeting their standards for success) for a permanent job for September 2020. The school offers great training plus a clear and attainable path for promotion - many responsibility post holders have been promoted from within the departments. Interviews are being held across the summer holidays.
You will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), after completing a PGCE, Graduate Teaching Program (GTP), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), QTLS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
