Support Worker l Oldham

Career Teachers is seeking a Support Worker on a long-term basis to start as soon as possible.

You will be working in an Oldham special needs school that caters for learners aged 11-19 with complex learning needs and difficulties including Autism.

All pupils are assessed according to their individual Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), enabling staff to plan work that is personalised and targeted to best meet pupils' needs. All plans are reviewed regularly and updated to monitor progress.

We are seeking a Support Worker who is passionate about creating meaningful learning opportunities for pupils with additional needs and is experienced working within a specialist environment. You will be creative, and able to motivate pupils to engage with learning activities - including sensory and play based activities.

We would love to hear from you if have experience with using Intensive Interaction, PECs and TEACCH principles or if you have personal experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs.
