A modern 2 form entry Primary School in Walthamstow are currently seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from March 2021. The role will be offering academic 1:1 behaviour support to a pupil in year 3, the school are ideally looking for someone who is looking to remain at the school for at least a year, and can work with the child throughout the entire education.
The school have a fantastic team who work collaboratively and offer and inclusive and supportive environment for both children and staff.
Applicants must be experienced working 1:1 with pupils in a school environment and ideally would have experience supporting a child with behaviour needs
Requirements for the role, Intervention Teaching Assistant- Walthamstow
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Ability to think on your feet and be confident in a classroom setting
- Ability to support pupils within the classroom setting
- Must be willing to offer personal care support
- A diverse range of positive behaviour management strategies
- Ability to engage students that are disengaged from education
