Career Teachers is currently seeking a passionate Behaviour Mentor to join a team working within an Alternative provision in Bury. If you are experienced in working collaboratively with students, families, and educators to promote high-quality learning and teaching, this is the perfect role for you!

As a Behaviour Specialist, you'll use your passion for educational excellence to inspire and motivate our students. You will aid teachers in the classroom and help foster a safe and supportive learning environment for the students.

Applicants for this role will ideally have qualifications related to working in schools or to SEN and SEMH. Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH in 1:1 role with children, as a support worker or care worker, is also highly beneficial.

Behaviour Mentor - Job role:

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom.
  • Encourage the development of the students' social skills.
  • Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs.
  • Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures.
  • Supporting challenging Behaviours/Using relevant strategies
  • Providing 1-1 support/Interventions
  • Liaising with a highly skilled school team
