A mainstream 2 form entry Primary School based in Enfield, are looking for a specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2020. The school is oversubscribed and has a very supportive senior leadership team, who focus on development of staff and children through additional training and support.

The school are ideally looking for Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) or speech and language needs (SLCN)

Suitable applicants must have:

  • Must have enthusiasm, commitment and determination to develop students education
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD)
  • Experience supporting pupils within a school or care environment
  • Have gained a minimum of a level 3 TA qualification

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of specialist teaching staff. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students 1:1 in the mainstream classroom setting
  • Providing care and enabling access to learning for all pupils
  • Carrying out pupils support programmes
  • Assisting the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom
