A fantastic School in North London are looking to appoint a Graduate or a suitably experienced TA to work with individual students and small groups in a classroom environment to help raise attainment. ** Fantastic 11 - 18 School ** 1 year position to work as classroom Teaching Assistant within various departments ** Opportunity for experience in Secondary setting - superb for PGCE application ** Lively, interesting and fun support department ** Great school leadership ** Various subject area specialists You will either be specifically linked to a subject specialist department working with students aged 11 - 18 who are studying that discipline or working as a general year group support assistant to support across various subjects. As such graduates within the main school core subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Drama and Languages are desired. The desire and ability to be flexible and dynamic is highly sought after. The school caters for students across the age and ability range and currently have learners who display a range of needs. As such the department require a well rounded and experienced individual who has experience in a similar teaching assistant/learning support assistant role over the past year. They will however consider a graduate who can display the dynamism and enthusiasm to raise attainment with students - hopefully someone who is interested in applying for the PGCE or GTP program for September 2020 within your chosen subject discipline. To be eligible for this role you must have prior experience as a teaching assistant/LSA for a minimum of 1 year or be a recent graduate who studied a relevant subject degree level. If you have already embarked upon the experience taster placements for individuals hoping to go into teaching that would be advantageous but not essential. You will need to provide a reference for the work you have done and have a current valid DBS or be willing to complete one. It is also imperative that you live in the UK and have eligibility to work. If you have experience working with students with behavioural issues or those with lower literacy or numeracy skills then this also will be of benefit.
