Role - Learning Support Assistant

Location - Stockport

Career Teachers are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work at a local secondary school based in the Stockport area.

The role will begin in September 2022 and is offered on a full-time, ongoing basis until the end of the academic year.

The position will involve working with secondary age pupils from ages 11-16 in whole groups, small groups and on a 1-1 basis to help and support. You will need to be dynamic, flexible and versatile and quickly able to build rapport with a wide range of students.

Key requirements

  • Experienced teaching assistant at secondary level
  • Have previously worked on a 1-1 basis with pupils with learning difficulties advantageous
  • Calm, patient demeanour
  • Flexible in approach
  • Can build rapport easily
