Career Teachers are looking to recruit an experienced DT Teacher for a local secondary school in the Manchester area. The position is due to begin in January 2022 and will continue on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year.

The position will involve teaching DT - resistant materials at both KS3 & KS4 and previous experience teaching at both levels is a requirement. There will also be an expectation for the chosen candidate to teach other areas of the DT curriculum at KS3 as and when required.

The chosen candidate will need to be enthusiastic about their chosen subject as well as being passionate about the subject material and able to engage with a wide range of students.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to teach DT - resistant materials at KS3 & KS4
  • Able and happy to teach other topics within DT to KS3
  • A genuine passion for the subject
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Ability to create diverse and exciting lesson plans
  • An enhanced DBS certificate
