Position: Learning Support Assistant

Pay: £70 - £85 per day

Career Teachers are looking to recruit an experienced learning support assistant to work at a secondary school in the Tameside area. The position would suit someone who has previously worked as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant or cover supervisor within a secondary school environment.

You will need previous experience of working with pupils at KS3/4 level and be able to quickly build rapport and engage with these students. The role is to commence with immediate effect and is offered on a full-time, ongoing basis.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary age pupils
  • Tenacious, flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Good behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to work with and support the class teacher
