Career Teachers have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Secondary Teacher, responsible for teaching Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a full-time role, starting ASAP on a long-term temporary basis.
You will be required to develop ideas for lessons and approaches to teaching. Preparing pupils for exams, assessments, and the next stage of their academic careers. You will be a passionate and driven person, tasked with delivering stimulating and innovative lesson plans for your students.
You will be working within an Ofsted rated Good Secondary school, based in Sandwell, who are committed to engaging and inspiring pupils to achieve their potential. You will play a key role in engaging and helping each pupil to achieve their potential combining your knowledge of learning and teaching strategies with your passion for making D&T understandable and exciting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Early Career Teachers (NQT's) at the beginning of their teaching career journey as well as Recently Qualified Teachers (RQT's) and experienced Teachers who are looking to further their career.
To be successful for this role, you will have excellent subject knowledge of Design & Technology (Resistant Materials) at KS3 and 4 and hold qualified teacher status (QTS / QTLS). You will ideally have a valid enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new DBS, as well as being able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years.
