We are looking for an English Teacher interested in joining a dedicated Maths department in Leeds, starting from 25th April, for around a term. This is to cover for a long term sickness.
Around 2/3 of the timetable will be teaching English, and due to this under allocation of lessons, you will be utilised as general cover when needed elsewhere. You must be willing to do general cover, not in your specialism.
We are looking for someone who can teach across KS3 & KS4 to mixed ability pupils. The post will operate on a full time ongoing supply basis covering a long term staff absence. As it is long term, you will be required to plan and prepare all lessons and be expected to mark and assess all work to make sure pupils progress along the lines of their target grades.
You will need to possess QTS/QTLS or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) and have fairly recent experience teaching English at KS3 & KS4 levels. You will possess a positive approach and be passionate about English as a subject that hopefully transmits to your students. Ideally you can hit the ground running and quickly build good relationships with your pupils which can help towards creating that positive learning environment. You must be available immediately and be able to commit to a long term role. We are needing someone who can just get on with the role, with minimum fuss.
Apply today, as you will need to register with us before we can allocate you to this position.
