Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Paying £76 to £90 per day depending on experience.

This is a full time role for the right individual, you will be working Mon - Thurs : 8.15 -4.15 pm and Friday 8.15 - 3.00pm. This school caters for children and young people aged 5-19 years old. Each pupil has different needs that you will need to cater for, these include autism, communication disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties.

Your role as a teaching assistant is to work 1:1 with your pupil to ensure their educational and physical needs are being met. Due to this there may be some aspects of toileting and feeding involved with the position. This role can be challenging due to the challenging behaviours, however it is equally rewarding.

Requirements of the position:

• Experience working with special educational needs
• Experience as a teaching assistant (desired, not essential)
• Calm and patient in your approach
• Have a current DBS on the update service or able to apply for one through Career Teachers
