Cover Supervisor - Derby

Are you an experience Cover Supervisor?

Are you looking for a long term position offering full time work starting immediately?

Career Teachers are seeking multiple Cover Supervisors to work within Secondary Schools in Derby. The role is a long term role however there may be an option for day-to-day cover for the right candidate. You will work school hours Monday to Friday and be paid between £76-£85 per day depending on experience.

The role:

You will work with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils aged 11-16. You will work with a range of students that all have mixed abilities. You are responsible for managing the classroom in the absence of the Teacher. The lesson will be set for you and the class Teacher will have provided all materials needed to carry out the lesson. You are required to be confident in your ability to keep the students engaged and motivated to complete their tasks. You will support all pupils to complete the work set out for them.

Requirements of the role:

• At least 3 months experience working with secondary age pupils
• Good behaviour management
• Passionate and enthusiastic
• Engaging and able to build rapport
• Able to deliver pre-set work to students in both KS3 & KS4
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Flexible on location and school within the Derby and Derbyshire area
• Enhanced DBS certificate

Many of these bookings arrive with short notice, so you will need to be ready and able to get to the school for the start of the day. Own transport is desirable but not essential due to the excellent public transport network in place across Derby.
