SEN Teaching Assistant - Burton-on-Trent

Career Teachers are seeking several Teaching Assistants to work in a Special School based in Burton-on-Trent. If you have experience within a classroom and experience with Special Educational Needs then this is the role for you.

As a Teaching Assistant your role is to support the Class Teacher in the delivery of lessons according to the needs of the pupil. You will either work 1:1 or in small groups to engage learners and meet their individual needs. You will look after the pupils emotional, physical and social well-being. Your role is to keep the pupil engaged and help them develop to achieve the best possible outcomes for their learning. You may be based inside a classroom or outside of the classroom again depending on the needs of the pupils.

Requirements of the role:

• DBS on the update service or able to apply for one through Career Teachers
• Experience in a classroom environment
• Genuine interest working with Special Educational Needs
• Be available for an immediate start
• Teaching Assistant qualification desired but not essential

This is a Monday to Friday role, working 08:30 - 16:00. You will be paid between £76-£90 per day depending on experience.
