Male Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision School

Career Teachers are seeking a male Teaching Assistant to work within an Alternative Provision School based in Shirebrook (NG20). Due to the needs of the child, this position requires a male to be successful for role. This is a long term placement working Monday to Friday starting immediately. The hours of work are 08:30 -16:00 5 days a week.

This Alternative Provision School is based on acres of a farm. There is a lot of animal care involved so you must be comfortable with animals and be physically able to carry out the role. You will be paid between £76-£90 per day depending on experience.

The role:

You will support SEN KS2 and KS3 learners in their core academics. You will engage and inspire children and young people that have had either no prior education or have had little education. The role requires you to deliver education 1:1 with this pupil ranging from EYFS to KS3. As a Teaching Assistant, you will develop the pupils behaviour, knowledge and skills with their long-term goals.

Requirements of the position:

• Qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent
• Have experience within the classroom
• Have Special Education Needs experience and a genuine interest working with SEN
• Creative in your approach and delivery of core subjects
• DBS on the update service or able to apply for one through Career Teachers
