SEN Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers are recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to start in September 2023. This is a full time role working 5 days per week - Mon to Thurs 8.15 - 4.15pm and Friday 8.15 - 3.00pm. You will be paid between £76 and £90 per day depending on experience.
Do you have a genuine interest working with children and young people with SEND? Are you experienced working with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? A large special educational needs school is looking for multiple teaching assistants to work alongside the teaching staff to provide 1:1 support and more general support to the students. You will be working with children and young people aged 5-19 years old.
Requirements of the role:
- Teaching Assistant qualification
- Be calm and patient in your approach
- Have a genuine interest working with special educational needs
- Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND advantageous, but not required
- Have a current DBS on the update service or able to apply for one through Career Teachers
