SEN Teaching Assistant - Level 3

Career Teachers are recruiting several SEN Teaching Assistants to work within SEN Schools and Alternative Provisions in Derbyshire. These roles offer full time, part time and adhoc days. You will be paid between £76 - £90 per day depending on experience.

The role:

You will take pupils in groups for intervention or on a 1:1 basis. You will use your own initiative and be able to work inside and outside of the classroom. This role involves you being committed to helping achieve the best possible outcomes to the pupils learning and to assist with controlling their behaviours. You will support the class teacher with the delivery of the lesson and ensuring all needs are catered for. You will be creative with your delivery of the lesson with your designated pupil/s to ensure they are engaged and developing their knowledge. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be committed to wanting to make a difference to children and young peoples lives.

Requirements of the role:

• Have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Have a genuine interest working with SEND
• Be calm, patient and adaptable in your approach
• Have a DBS on the update service or able to apply for one through Career Teachers
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Have high expectations of all pupils
• Have high expectations of themselves and work collaboratively with other staff
